Ferry & Parking

We are only five minutes walk away from the Interislander Ferry and five minutes drive from the Bluebridge Ferry. A visit is a perfect way to spend time while waiting for your ferry to arrive. If you are travelling by car, there is a car park on Picton's foreshore which the museum overlooks, in front of the playround. The car park (4 hours free parking) is also in walking distance to our local i-Site.

Our Display

Our collection on display ranges from Maori artefacts, to the arrival of settlers in Picton, the history of whaling in the Cook Strait, and maritime activities within the Sounds.  We have many remnants from Picton including artefacts from the Picton hospital and inventions used in the area.
